Draper Tools were struggling with their existing reporting infrastructure when they first spoke to us in 2022. They’d had an external agency build their infrastructure for them but this was becoming increasingly slow to refresh each night, and it was proving extremely problematic to maintain.
We spent an initial month working with Draper in the summer of 2022, replacing one of their main reports. We reduced the refresh time of the report from hours each night to just a few minutes, and significantly reduced the burden on their production system where the data was being received from. The new model is clean, intuitive, and easy to amend and extend. We’ve been working with Draper’s own business intelligence developer since, providing him with help and guidance on how to extend the model himself, as well as helping out with small deliverables from time to time.
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.
